Scarapps Privacy Policy
Last updated 27 October 2026
The short version
- You don’t need an account. We never ask for your email, phone number, location, contacts or photos.
- If you choose a player name, other players can see it in game rooms, leaderboards and challenges.
- We don’t show ads, we don’t sell data, and we don’t track you across other apps or websites.
What we collect and why
- Player name — the nickname you type. Shown to other players so they know who they’re playing against. Offensive names are filtered.
- Player ID — a random code your phone makes the first time you play. It isn’t linked to your Apple ID, name or phone number. It lets us keep each player’s best score on the leaderboard and recognise you if you rejoin a game room.
- Game results — scores, difficulty, game mode and the artists you guessed correctly, when you post to a leaderboard or create or play a challenge. Leaderboards and challenges are public inside the app.
- Live game rooms — while you’re in a room, your player name and player ID are shared in real time with the other players in that room. Room activity isn’t saved after the game ends.
What stays on your phone
Your high scores, daily streaks, recently played songs, settings and the list of players you’ve blocked are stored only on your device. Deleting the app deletes them.
Who else is involved
- Supabase (through Lovable Cloud) hosts our database and real-time game rooms. They process data only to run the service for us.
- Apple provides the 30-second song previews and album artwork. Clips stream from Apple’s servers, which receive your device’s network address as part of any internet request. Apple’s privacy policy applies to Apple’s services.
- If you email us, your email provider and ours will handle that message.
How long we keep it
Leaderboard entries and challenges are kept while the game is running so scores stay meaningful. You can ask us to delete yours at any time (see below).
Your choices and rights
- Choose what you post: turn off Settings › Post my scores automatically, and scores only go to the leaderboard when you tap Post.
- Block or report: tap any player’s name to block them on your phone or report them to us.
- Delete your data: in the app go to Settings › Request data deletion, or email support@scarapps.fun with your player ID (shown in Settings). We’ll delete your leaderboard entries and challenges within 30 days.
- Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete your data, or to complain to a data protection authority. Contact us and we’ll help.
Age
Scarapps is rated 17+ and isn’t meant for children. We don’t knowingly collect data from children under 13; if you think a child has used the app, contact us and we’ll delete their data.
Changes and contact
If we change how we handle data, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. Questions or requests: support@scarapps.fun.
